Money transfer procedure

To send or receive money transfer you need to visit service points of UNIStream Greece.

All outbound transfers require the physical presence of the client with the following documentation:

  • If the sender is an EU citizen he/she must present a valid (not expired) EU passport with photo or a valid (not expired) national Identity Card.
  • If the sender is a non EU citizen he/she must present a valid (not expired) International passport with photo and a valid visa, or a valid passport and residence/work permit.

The procedure for sending money is very easy and takes not more than 3 minutes to complete. The Sender is given a code number that he/she must communicate to the receiver to enable him/her to receive the money.

All inbound transfers should be collected by the individual named on the transfer. The personal identification documents above are again required with the difference that the Receiver should also advise the code number given to the Sender at the Sender’s Remitting Office.
